Paris Travel Guide

As you probably remember, I was in Paris for fashion week a couple months ago. I put together a little city guide with my top recommendations for London and New York so I decided to do the same for Paris! Here are my personal tips if you find yourself in the city of love!

Where to Stay

Instead of staying at a hotel, we decided to rent an apartment on Airbnb. This was such a great experience! It really felt like we were living in the city. The apartment was incredible and in Saint-Honoré which is a great location near the famous Champs-Élysées. Plus, it’s near all the best stores! If you do prefer a hotel I suggest Hotel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Paris.  We ended up spending the last few nights there and I loved it! It’s also near to Champs-Élysées and it’s a 10-minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe. The hotel is beautiful and has five amazing restaurants, three incredible bars and a super sleek and modern indoor pool!  My favorite part of the hotel though was the café in the private garden. So cute!!

Restaurants

L’Avenue-  This is the cutest French restaurant and my favorite place for lunch in Paris. It has an adorable outside patio perfect for people-watching which is one of my favorite things to do in Paris! It is a worthwhile spot to relax for an hour or two between shopping, sight-seeing and walking around the city. The food is so fresh and healthy but flavorful and so delicious as well.

Caviar Kaspia If you are looking for a true gourmet experience in Paris, this is the place to go. The restaurant is truly a hidden gem in the city. It is located upstairs in an amazing caviar store with a main room and a secret one both beautifully decorated with vintage furniture and paintings. It is such an intimate and old fashion atmosphere that you feel transported to another era. Needless to say, the food is spectacular. This place is the place to go during fashion week. When I was there I saw Jessica Alba, Olivia Palermo, and Alessandra Ambrossio!!

Sightseeing

Montmartre-There are too many things to see and do in Paris. The Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Notre Dame are obviously are musts, but if I could really only recommend one touristy place to go, it would have to be the Sacre Coeur basilica in Montmartre. Not only is the basilica breathtaking, but the view from the top of the basilica is indescribable and probably the best in the city. I love walking around the area too. Montmartre is a fun and lively area where artists have been coming for hundreds of years to be inspired and display their work. There are fun street performers, great food and music. Definitely something you need to experience when in Paris.
