It was a special celebration!
My grandma turned 80 so all the women in the family took a little staycation to celebrate the special occasion. We stayed at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel. It’s a beautiful and iconic hotel in San Diego. We felt like we were off at a relaxing retreat. It didn’t feel like we were in San Diego at all! We had the best time relaxing and spending time together. The pool is so nice and great for families. Enzo and his cousin Camila had so much fun at the pool. Enzo loves the water, I can’t wait until he is older and we take him to swimming lessons. It was so nice to be able to “get away” and spoil ourselves even though we were home! My grandma was so happy and it was definitely a celebration we will all remember. It’s moments like these that make me value and feel so grateful for my family. Also, I learned that when you have kids, staycations are really convenient and I should do them more often. lol.

Es un hermoso e icónico hotel en San Diego. Sentimos como si estuviéramos en un retiro relajante y lejos de todo. ¡No sentíamos que estábamos en San Diego para nada! La pasamos tan bien todas juntas en un lugar bonito y relajante. La alberca esta padre y perfecta para familias. Enzo y su prima Camila se divirtieron mucho en la alberca. Enzo ama el agua, no puedo esperar hasta que sea un poco mas grande para llevarlo a clases de natación. ¡Fue padre poder “escaparnos” y sentirnos de vacaciones a pesar de que estábamos en nuestra ciudad! Mi abuela estaba muy feliz y definitivamente fue una celebración que todas recordaremos. Son momentos como estos los que me hacen valorar y sentirme muy agradecida por mi familia. Además, aprendí que cuando tienes hijos, una “vacación” en casa es realmente conveniente y siento que lo haré más seguido.
