10 Things You Didn’t Know About Hector

Happy Birthday Hector!

Today is my husband’s birthday! So many of you often ask me about him so I thought today would be a great day to share some special and fun facts about him. I think this is the 8th birthday we celebrate together. I guess this is one is extra special because it is our last one before having a baby and starting a new and crazy chapter of our lives. Amore, thank you for being my partner in crime, my number one supporter and the best partner and friend in life I could have asked for. Happy Birthday!

1. He is 34 years young today! That makes us 6 years apart.
2. He has an obsession with collecting and learning to play the strangest instruments. Exhibit A: The Didgeridoo. It’s a real thing, I swear. Look it up.
3. He studied law and had a law firm for a time but is currently in commodities and has a number of side businesses. He is a jack of all trades.
4. He is an only child.
5. He mimicks chewing noises while sleeping.
6.  His favorite food is sushi. (I can’t have sushi right now because of my pregnancy so sushi is off limits for him too, though I’ve caught him sneaking out to eat some.)
7. He loves working out. He is one of those weirdoes who enjoys going to the gym on a daily basis. One of his favorite activities is rock climbing.
8. He used to dress like an old man until he met me.
9. He is a total gadget/tech freak and of course, a nerdy gamer.
10. He knows the most random facts. I now know how mustard was invented.

Feliz cumpleaños Hector! ¡Hoy es el cumpleaños de mi marido! Muchos de ustedes me preguntan de él así que pensé que hoy sería el día perfecto para compartir con ustedes 10 cosas sobre Hector. Creo que este es el 8º cumpleaños que celebramos juntos. Supongo que este es extra especial porque es nuestro último antes de que nazca el bebé y comenzar un capítulo nuevo de nuestras vidas. Amore, gracias por tu apoyo constante y por ser el mejor compañero en esta vida que podría haber pedido. ¡Feliz cumpleaños!
1. Cumple 34 años hoy! Eso lo hace 6 años mayor que yo.
2. Tiene una obsesión por coleccionar y aprender a tocar los instrumentos más extraños. Por ejemplo: el didgeridoo. Es algo real, lo juro. Búsquenlo.
3.  Estudió derecho y tuvo su despacho por un tiempo, pero ahorita trabaja en materias primas y tiene varios negocios.
4. Es hijo único.
5. Hace ruidos como si estuviera masticando mientras duerme.
6. Su comida favorita es el sushi. (No puedo comer sushi ahorita por mi embarazo así que el sushi está prohibido para él también, aunque lo he cachado escapándose de la casa para ir a comer algo.)
7. Le encanta hacer ejercicio. Es uno de esos raros que ama ir al gym todos los días. Una de sus actividades favoritas es escalar.
8. Se vestía como un viejito hasta que me conoció.
9. Es un fanático de la tecnología y por supuesto, un “gamer.”
10. Sabe las cosas mas extrañas y las comparte conmigo todo el tiempo. Ahora sé cómo se inventó la mostaza.

    You don’t have to give up on sushi! You can choose veg version or with fully cooked/grilled fish. I’m pregnant too and I eat it at least once a week 🙂

    Oh my goodness, I love this post! I feel like I know him just a tiny bit more now, haha. I see some of the same qualities in my husband and those quirky characteristics always keep things fresh and exciting! Really excited for you and your growing family 🙂
