Already bought a pumpkin or have had one too many pumpkin treats from Trader Joes? Trust me there’s more you can do to get into the fall mood! If you live in SoCal, chances are your fall feels a bit more like summer. And if you’re like me, you’re probably wishing you could get that true fall feel. So you’re ready to let go of summer and embrace that fall spirit, here are 5 easy ways to make it feel more festive!
A NEW FALL SCENT
Perfume lover’s know switching up your scent with the season is a must. With cooler weather finally approaching, now is the time to store your light, fruity, playful summer scents. Instead, go for a warmer, sexier, spicy scent. Two of my favorites for fall are the Maison Margiela Replica the Fireplace and Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. They’re the perfect scents for cuddling up to the upcoming chilly weather!
Did you know pumpkin is actually great for the skin? It’s rich in alpha hydroxy acids, antioxidants and vitamin e to keep the skin looking hydrated and healthy. So before you buy your next pumpkin spice latte, try one of these skin-loving pumpkin products to make it feel like fall. I love the Summer Friday’s Overtime Mask!
FALL TONE NAILS
One reason I love the start of a new season? New nail colors. This fall, I’m loving earth tones, reds, pumpkiny oranges and darker shades. The new OPI fall Scotland collection is so so good and you can get every color on Amazon! My favorite is Rub-a-Pub, a dark grey color!
BRING FALL INSIDE
Yup, now that it’s finally going to get cold, there’s no better way to embrace the new season than to make your home feel like fall even when you’re inside. Pick up a cozy, new scent, swap your summer throw for a warm, fall-colored blanket and sip on some chamomile tea! Don’t worry, spending some extra time on the couch this season is totally acceptable!
A COZY FALL SWEATER
And lastly, my favorite way to get in the fall mood…stocking up on sweaters! For sweaters that feel very “fall,” I like orange, rust, every shade of nude and tan and of course, animal print. I love these tones because when winter comes around, I wear more black and white!
