Once again, Chanel surprises us all.
One of the most anticipated shows during Fashion Month has to be Chanel. Not only are the collections obviously stunning, but Karl Lagerfeld always creates a whole runway experience that goes above and beyond expectations. I have seen the Grand Palais in Paris transformed into a data center, a rocket ship launch inside during the show and now the audience was taken to a tropical beach in the middle of fall. The models walked on a runway of sand and yes, there were even actual waves splashing inside. I wouldn’t expect anything less from this iconic brand. I loved the easy and relaxed vibe of the setup and seeing the models walk barefoot on the sand dressed in the epitome of classic Parisian chic-ness. Some of my favorite things I observed on this runway were the oversized 80’s-inspired tweed jackets and blazers and the double quilted chain bags. Of course, Karl knows how keep things young even for a brand as classic as Chanel and styled lots of timeless Chanel pieces with biker shorts! I was already a big fan, but once I saw them on the Chanel runway, it confirmed they are here to stay for spring! Every piece and outfit is so stunning and styled to perfection. It was another one for the books!

Uno de los desfiles más esperados durante el mes de la moda tiene que ser el de Chanel. Las colecciones no solo son obviamente impresionantes, sino que Karl Lagerfeld siempre crea una experiencia en la pasarela que supera las expectativas. He visto el Grand Palais en París transformado en un centro de datos, he visto el lanzamiento de un cohete durante el desfile y ahora el público fue transportado a una playa tropical. Las modelos caminaron en una pasarela de arena y sí, hasta hubo olas reales. No esperaría nada menos de esta marca icónica. Algunas de mis cosas favoritas que observé en esta colección fueron las chamarras y blazers grandes inspiradas en los años 80 y por supuesto, las bolsas clásicas de Chanel. ¡Karl sabe cómo incorporar aspectos juveniles incluso para una marca tan clásica como Chanel. Por ejemplo, muchas de las prendas las vistió con los biker shorts que están de moda ahorita. Ya era fan de esa tendencia, pero al verlos en la pasarela de Chanel, ¡se confirmó que esta tendencia seguirá por un tiempo! Cada pieza y atuendo hecha y estilizada a perfección. ¡Fue otro desfile inolvidable!
