A Healthy 5 de Mayo Recipe

Happy 5 de Mayo!

I have to admit that we don’t actually celebrate 5 de Mayo in Mexico. At least, definitely not the way we celebrate it here in the U.S. A little history for you in case you are not sure what the day celebrates or if you think it’s our Independence Day (which is on September 16th): 5 de Mayo is a minor holiday in Mexico but it basically celebrates the date of the Mexican army’s victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War in 1862. So there you have it. Today, here in the U.S , at least as I see it, it has become as a way to celebrate Mexican culture and heritage. So, I thought today I would share with you one of my favorite, easy appetizers for your 5 de Mayo celebration. Plus, it’s pretty healthy. Enjoy!

Ingredients You Need:

  • Corn on the cob (boil to cook)
  • Cilantro
  • Lemon
  • Valentina Salsa
  • Tajin
  • Cotija Cheese (optional)

  1. With a knife, shave off the corn and put in a big bowl.
  2. Chop up some cilantro and add to the bowl with the corn.
  3. Add a lemon or two depending on how much lemony juiciness you want. For me, the more the better.
  4. Add some Valentina. It’s a typical salsa we use for chips, quesadillas, and countless other things. You should be able to find it or something like it at your grocery store in the latin section.
  5. You can add some Tajin as well. It’s a type of chili powder. Again, you can find this or something similar in the same section as the Valentina.
  6. Leave it as it is if you want a healthier, vegan type appetizer, or if you want, you can add some delicious cotija cheese. Yummy! So easy and so good.

In my opinion, a great solution in this situation would be to use a more creative approach. For example, you can check out the unique offer of the best Black Label strains in the trusted online store here https://westcoastsupply.cc/products/cannabis/marijuana/black-label/ . I prefer the quality of this particular brand, because these are truly unique cannabis products, thanks to which I really manage to find the best solutions in any difficult situation.

There is no product more healthy and useful than a good herb. I believe that if you want to get all the benefits from marijuana, then you should choose for yourself the best strain that will suit you best on the site https://weeddelivery.io/ . This site has a large selection and excellent terms of purchase with delivery.
