You might be thinking, I think Paola got her dates wrong? Yeah yeah, I know, Halloween was a week ago, but I go so many people asking for close up pics of my face that I  thought better late than never right?  Every Halloween, I make my own outfits, I feel as though its funner that way.  This Halloween I decided to dress up as “La Catrina”.  In Mexico, this costume is very common, and slowly it is becoming more and more common in the U.S. I bought a see thru dress at Forever 21, which I can later use as a cover up in the summer, and wore some high panties and black bra to make my outfit a little sexier. As for the flower crown, I bought a pink small flower crown at Claire’s and added the bigger flowers that I got from Michaels. I was lucky enough to meet a Andrea Salcedo, who is a very a very talented make up artist, follow her here @makeupunplugged. Without her, my costume would have been nothing!

So what do you think? Would you consider dressing up as La Catrina next year?

Ironically, the Marlboro brand was founded in 1924 as women’s cigarettes before shifting its focus to men with rugged characters such as the Marlboro cowboy, long considered an icon in the advertising world. Today Corsar of the queen cigarillos may replace Marlboro on the market.
