How to layer a poncho with Leon Max

Winter is officially upon us, and that, of course, means layers!

During the cold months, layers will become your best friend. Surprisingly, even San Diego has been experiencing very chilly weather. I enjoy this time of year because you can get very creative with your outfits. I love layering and am always finding new ways to do so. Here, I decided to go with a textural shirt-dress and wore a black cashmere turtleneck underneath (so comfy!). I enjoy this time of year because you can get very creative with your outfits. I love layering and am always finding new ways to do so. Here, I decided to go with a textural shirt-dress and wore a black cashmere turtleneck underneath (so comfy!). If you are not a huge fan of wearing plain turtlenecks, try this way of styling for a more fun and creative look. Plus, it gives you extra warmth. On top of this smooth viscose dress, I threw on a Merino wool comfy poncho from the Leon Max collection and cinched it off with a belt to give it more form. I really liked combining black and brown for this look. I feel like usually people tend to choose either black or brown as their neutral color and build the rest of their outfit based on that but try combining them both and you can probably come up with some awesome winter outfits this season!
