Foggy skies, old red telephone booths and cobbled stones makes you want to stay there forever.
London, the poshest city out there, where models roams the streets with their black books, and old english men wearing suits walk around there city. About a month ago, Hector and I planned an express trip, for business matters and decided because of the short distance, to hop over to Edinburgh and visit my brother, who is currently living there. With express, I mean a total of six nights, three in London & three in Edinburgh.
In London, we stayed at the Rocco Forte Browns Hotel, on Albermarle Street. Great location and amazing after noon tea. On the first day, we both had some meetings and from their we walked around Oxford street and did a little shopping (guilty).
Wearing Few Moda Camel Coat, Zara Scarf, Chanel Boy and Zara poof ball.
The next day we had lunch at a restaurant called The Palomar Restaurant, one of the best restaurants or modern day Jerusalem food. In my own words, it was aahhmazing. My favorites where the Beetroot Carpaccio, Polenta Jerusalem Style, Fattoush Salad and the Octo-hummous.
For dinner, we opted for Cecconi’s because you simply can’t go wrong with that!
In Edinburgh we stayed at another Rocca Forte property, called The Balmoral. It’s basically in the middle of the city, so you can see it from practically anywhere.
The view from our room. This city truly came out of a fairy tale.
The restaurant at the Balmoral Hotel, is called Number One. After having a five course menu, it’s clear why it has that name. I did not get paid to say this, nor did they sponsor my meal, this was Hector’s recommendation because he is an avid foodie and travel junkie and I have to say, it’s up there on the list! It holds a Michelin Star and the restaurant in known for its most creative meals from the tasting menus. This is a MUST, next time you are in Edinburgh.
Yes! That’s a macaroon in my beet salad.
Autumn colors to its max!
As you can tell by now, all we did on this trip was eat. I always tease Hector that he’s the reason I eat so much! When I travel without him, I am sometimes so busy, I forget to eat, but God forbid that happen if I travel with him. He’s that guy that will have all the reservations made before we land, haha, but thanks to that, he has so many great recommendations!
My younger brother, who is now taller than me!
