I got goosebumps. I almost cried. Ok, maybe not actual tears but I did get emotional. I blame it on the pregnancy hormones but still, Chanel’s show at Paris Fashion Week left everyone speechless. What a masterpiece! It felt out of this world. Karl Lagerfeld’s genius and forward thinking shines through again! The whole show was based on a Jetson’s style futuristic, space related theme. Chanel’s sets are always remarkable but this one no doubt has been one of their best.
The models walked on a catwalk that wrapped around a massive rocket ship which blasted off 33 feet into the air at the end of the show. It was astonishing! The models wore space blankets that had astronaut and planet prints but what stood out the most to me were the glitter tights and boots. They were gorgeous and fit perfectly with the whole Jetson’s style. As you can also tell, there was a headband trend going on, which of course had beautiful embellishments in typical Chanel style. Karl Lagerfeld came out at the end with adorable 8-year-old model Hudson Kroenig. Melted my heart! I’m telling you, the hormones were in full force that day!
Se me puso la piel chinita. Casi lloré. Ok, tal vez estoy exagerando un poco, pero si me puse emocional. Creo que en gran parte es culpa de las hormonas del embarazo, pero aún así, el show de Chanel en la Semana de la Moda de París dejó a todos sin palabras. ¡Fue una obra de arte fuera de este mundo! ¡Karl Lagerfeld realmente es un genio! Todo el espectáculo se basó en un estilo futurista tipo los Jetsons. Los sets de Chanel siempre son impresionantes, pero éste sin duda ha sido uno de sus mejores.
Las modelos caminaron en una pasarela que envolvía alrededor de un enorme cohete espacial que despegó 33 pies en el aire al final del show. Fue increíble! Los modelos llevaban mantas de espacio que tenían patrones de astronautas y planetas, pero lo que más me llamó la atención fueron las medias brillantes y las botas. Eran hermosas y me recordaron al estilo de los Jetsons. Como también se darán cuenta, todas las modelos llevaban diademas puestas. Por supuesto, tenía hermosos adornos en estilo típico de Chanel. Karl Lagerfeld salió al final con el adorable modelo de 8 años Hudson Kroenig. Derritió mi corazón! ¡Les digo, las hormonas venían con todo ese día!
