Trends Seen On and Off the Runway

Who says you can’t wear pastels during fall or winter?

Pastels and whites are typically thought of as spring or summer colors but I love incorporating these tones during other seasons as well, especially during the transition from summer to fall. I have been seeing these colors and lots of embroidery on the runway and incorporated into the street style scene. This is look is how I decided to combine these two trends. I love this pastel pink Duke handbag from Carolina Herrera. It gives any outfit a touch of femininity and elegance and a pop of color for outfits with more neutral tones. You can also pair it up with another statement piece like this breathtaking embroidered coat from Naeem Khan. The most subtle color in this intricate coat is the light pink so pairing it with this handbag worked perfectly because it doesn’t feel like there is too much going on. It’s just right! Don’t be afraid to wear something bold and colorful like this coat during the fall months!  I saw a lot of color on the runway during this Fashion Month so don’t feel like you need to stray away from color this season. It’s here to stay!

Los pasteles y blancos son típicamente considerados como colores de primavera o verano, pero me encanta incorporar estos tonos durante otras épocas del año y, sobre todo durante la transición del verano al otoño. He visto estos colores y también bordados en el runway e incorporado en la moda street style. Este look es mi manera de combinar las dos tendencias. Me encanta esta bolsa Duke de color rosa pastel de Carolina Herrera porque le da un toque de feminidad y elegancia a cualquier look. También, es un manera muy fácil de añadir un poco de color cuando llevas puesto ropa de tonos más neutros. Hasta se puede usar con otra pieza llamativa como este impresionante abriqo bordado de Naeem Khan. El color más sutil en este intrincado abrigo es el rosa claro así que funciona perfectamente con la bolsa porque no es una combinación tan abrumadora. No tengan miedo de llevar algo audaz y colorido como este abrigo durante los meses de otoño! Vi un montón de color en todos los desfiles durante el Fashion Month, así que no sientan que al llegar el otoño tienen que olvidarse de los colores divertidos.
