My San Diego Bachelorette Guide

Let the shenanigans begin. Just this time, a couple of years ago, my girlfriends and I were off to my own bachelorette party. I have to admit I actually had a couple. One group of friends took me to Cancun another to Las Vegas. It was such a fun time and my friends made me feel so special and loved. I know many people come to San Diego on vacation and bachelorettes so I thought I would give you some of my suggestions for a fun weekend with the girls!

Pendry HotelDinner and drinks.

There are so many good restaurants in San Diego. My recommendation for a classy night out, would be dinner and drinks at the Pendry Hotel’s restaurant, Lionfish. It has amazing food, the place is beautiful, the ambiance is modern and sophisticated and excellent service.

Night on the Town- The hotel is in downtown so you are ready to go conquer the streets of downtown! It all depends on what you are looking for, but just walking down the streets of downtown and the Gaslamp district can be fun and you are sure to find many fun bars and clubs.

Here are a couple of options.

Hard Rock Pool Party

Every summer through September, the Hard Rock Hotel puts on a weekly pool party on Saturdays. It’s called SUNBURN and it is the ultimate day party in San Diego. It’s on top of the Hard Rock Hotel overlooking the Gaslamp Quarter. You have the pool, tasty food, VIP daybeds, and cabanas with lounge seating and flat screen TVs. It’s a mini Vegas in San Diego.

Day-Drinking at the Beach

Pacific Beach and Mission Beach are the places to go if you want to do some day-drinking, bar-hopping, and have some fun at the beach. There are a ton of fun bars and restaurants. You can stop by at Wave House which is a fun restaurant and bar on the boardwalk of Mission Beach. There is always a fun ambiance during the day. Walk on the boardwalk and discover more places or soak up the sun on the beach. Cannonball is a modern rooftop restaurant and bar close-by which is great for drinks and yummy appetizers and food and has an amazing view of the sunset.

Winery Tour

I love going wine-tasting across the border in El Valle de Guadalupe. They have the most beautiful vineyards, the best food, wine and service. It’s one of my favorite things to do here. You can easily arrange a van to take you down there and make reservations and 2 or 3 vineyards. If crossing the border seems like to much of a challenge, there are amazing vineyards in San Diego that you can go to as well. Temecula Valley is also known as our “Wine Country” and it is about an hour drive from San Diego. There are a ton of tours that take you out in a van and organize a tour for your group from San Diego. This website might help and provide more info and I’ve heard this company is perfect for big group wine tours to Temecula.

Spa Day

If you want a more relaxing day with the girls, go to the Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara for a Spa Day. It is amazing!! I love going there and making a day trip out of it. You don’t have to be a guest to go to the spa. The restaurant and spa is open to the public and they are incredible. Omni La Costa Resort & Spa is another great one. They are both worth a visit!

Brunch– No weekend in San Diego is complete with Sunday Brunch. Some of my favorites are brunch at Tower 23, La Valencia Hotel, Hotel del Coronado. These all are close to the beach so you can take a final stroll on the beach after some mimosas. If you want more brunch suggestions, here is another post I did with more of my favorite brunch spots in San Diego.
