As you all may already know, I just got back from spending some time in the snow. The boys and I took a little trip to Whistler, Canada and had the most amazing time. We stayed at the beautiful Four Seasons in Whistler and absolutely loved it. From the stunning views to the delicious in-suite breakfasts to the unbelievable service, I would definitely go back! While I was in Whistler, I got tons and tons of requests for a blog post about what to wear to the snow since ski season is in full effect till April. I also got a bunch of questions about Whistler about where to stay and where to eat, so before I get into snow outfit must-haves, I’m going to give a quick list of my favorite spots in Whistler!
Si me han estado siguiendo en Instagram, seguro vieron que hace poco regresé de la nieve. Hicimos un viaje a Whistler, Canadá, y la pasamos increíble! Nos quedamos en el hermoso Four Seasons en Whistler y nos encantó. Desde las impresionantes vistas hasta los deliciosos desayunos en la suite y el increíble servicio, ¡definitivamente regresaría! Mientras estaba en Whistler, recibí muchísimas preguntas desde recomendaciones en Whistler y que me lleve de ropa, así que decidí hacer un post.
WHISTLER
STAY:
Four Season’s Whistler: The thing I loved most about staying at the Four Seasons was that the hotel is only a three minute walk from the base of the mountain. The hotel is super cozy and was everything we wanted for our winter escape. I would definitely recommend the FS for families because they offer 3 and 4-bedroom residences with a kitchen and laundry!
Four Season de Whistler: Lo que más me gustó de quedarme en el Four Seasons fue que el hotel está a solo tres minutos a pie de la base de la montaña. El hotel es muy acogedor y tenía todo lo que queríamos para nuestra escapada a la nieve. ¡Definitivamente recomendaría el Four Seasons para familias porque ofrecen residencias de 3 y 4 recámaras con cocina y lavandería!
EAT:
Araxi Restaurant & Oyster Bar: Definitely the best meal we had in Whistler. The menu is all about farm-to-table ingredients and everything we ate was amazing, from the cocktails to the fish to the dessert! Make sure to take a walk after dinner because the restaurant is in the cutest part of the town!

Bearfoot Bistro: An absolute must in Whistler. Bearfoot Bistro is the best steakhouse in town and it also has a great aprés ski. They have a super famous wine cellar with over 20,000 wines and The Kettle One Ice Room, where you can sample vodkas from all over the world in an ice bar!
Una visita obligada en Whistler. Bearfoot Bistro es el mejor restaurante de carnes de la ciudad. Tienen una cava súper famosa con más de 20,000 vinos y The Kettle One Ice Room, donde puedes probar vodkas de todo el mundo en un bar de hielo.
Il Caminetto: There’s nothing like a carb-filled Italian meal after hitting the slopes all day. Il Caminetto has the most delicious pastas, especially their bolognese.
No hay nada como una comida italiana llena de carbohidratos después de esquiar todo el día. Il Caminetto tiene las pastas más deliciosas, especialmente su boloñesa.
WHAT TO WEAR
Now for the fun stuff! What do you pack for your ski trip when you’re not used to the cold, but still want to look cool both on and off the slopes?
Ahora para lo divertido! ¿Qué empacar para tu viaje cuando no quieres pasar frío pero todavía quieres verte bien?
WARM LAYERS
Hands down the most important thing to pack when you’re headed to the snow are super warm, water resistant base layers. This is the layer that is going to keep you the most warm so it’s important to buy good quality ones. Always buy from a ski or active brand that specializes in thermals and base layers with the right technology to keep you warm and dry. I pretty much lived in my Goldbergh long sleeve, but Under Armor also makes great ones. Fleece-lined leggings are also a must for your snow trip. I wore them pretty much everyday! Sin duda, lo más importante para empacar cuando vas a la nieve son tus termales. Es la base que te va a mantener caliente entonces es importante comprar unos de buena calidad. Siempre compren de en una marca de esquí o deportiva que se especialice en prendas y tengan la tecnología adecuada para que te mantenga caliente y seco. Prácticamente me la viví en mi manga larga de Goldbergh, pero Under Armour también es muy buena marca. Leggings con fleece adentro también son imprescindibles. ¡Los usé casi todos los días!
LONG DOWN COAT
Sure, a long black down coat is basic, but it’s also very necessary. I 1000% recommend packing one with you because it will be a lifesaver when you’re walking around in the cold, especially at night. Definitely pick one up from a reputable brand like Goldbergh, Bogner, North Face or Patagonia. Unless it specifically says its for cold weather, skip anything that’s under $200 because it probably won’t keep you warm!
Claro, un abrigo largo negro es básico, pero también es muy necesario. Recomiendo al 1000% empacar uno contigo porque hará toda la diferencia cuando camines por el frío, especialmente en la noche. Les recomiendo que compren de marcas buenas como Goldbergh, Bogner, North Face o Patagonia.
STATEMENT PUFFER
There’s something about being in the snow that is just begging for a colorful moment. I got sooo many compliments and questions about my pink puffer coat that I felt a statement puffer needed to be included in the packing list. My pink one is Moncler, which is a great investment brand for frequent snow-goers. They are expensive, but I found a bunch of other statement puffers on the more affordable side!

Moncler es muy buena marca que vale la pena invertir si vas mucho a la nieve. Aquí les dejo otras parecidas a precios más accesibles.
SKI SUIT
Instagram’s favorite snow outfit– the ski suit. My red one is from Goldbergh, which makes the cutest snow gear. Ski suits from brands like Goldbergh, Cordova and Perfect Moment are pretty pricey but they definitely keep you warm and look super chic. If you want to get this look without spending as much, I actually found some cute more affordable ones I’ll link below!

FUR HAT
Covering your head is crucial for staying warm in the snow. And nothing keeps your head and ears warm like a cozy, fur hat. I wore a fur hat or beanie almost everyday, so make sure to pack a few different ones!
Cubrirse la cabeza es mega importante para mantenerte caliente en la nieve. Y nada mantiene la cabeza y las orejas calientes como un gorro de piel.
WEATHER PROOF BOOTS
Bringing the right shoes is one of the most important things to pack for a snow trip. Skip the Ugg boots and fabric tennis shoes and instead go for a waterproof boot. I wore my platform combat boots everywhere, from playing in the snow to having dinner in the cute village.

SUNGLASSES
Snow accessories are the best way to stand out from everyone on the slopes. I used the sporty moment to bring out my favorite sporty-chic sunglasses. I wore these Balenciaga ones a bunch and linked some other faves for the snow below!
